A real evening

A lasting weeknight game is usually built from a consistent day, a reasonable end time, and people who know that leftovers are welcome.

A little structure

Try a short format: one set number of hands, a simple snack plan, and a standing message the day before. A ritual needs less coordination than an event.

Make room for ordinary life

When the group loses momentum, restart with a one-time date rather than announcing a grand return. One good Tuesday is plenty.

Keep the promise modest.
