A real evening
Schedules shift, seasons crowd in, and a regular game sometimes disappears for a while. Treat that as a pause, not a failure.
A little structure
Reach out with one concrete possibility: “I miss our Thursday table. Would the 14th work for a short game?” Specificity makes returning easier.
Make room for ordinary life
If the old version no longer fits, make a new one. A Sunday afternoon or a once-a-month table still counts.
Keep the promise modest.
